Step 1: Identify the Need for a New Assembly
- Recognize Missing Symbols (Not currently in your library)
- While working on your project, identify any special outlets or components that are not already available in the system.
Step 2: Access the Library Management Tool
- Navigate to Library Settings
- Go to the settings or library management area of your software where you can add new symbols or assemblies.
Step 3: Create a New Assembly
- Add New Assembly
- Click on "Add new assemblies" or the equivalent option in your software.
- Use Image Cropping Tool
- If available, use the image cropping tool to capture an image of the new component you wish to add.
- Adjust and preview the crop to ensure it captures the necessary details.
- Enter Assembly Information
- Fill in the required fields such as name, type, and any other essential data.
Step 4: Assign Parameters and Parts List
- Select Assembly Group
- Choose the appropriate group for the new assembly, like "in-wall assemblies" for electrical components.
- Copy Parameters
- Select an existing assembly to copy parameters from, especially if the new assembly shares similar characteristics.
- Copy Parts List
- Opt to copy the parts list from the selected assembly to incorporate standard parts and pieces automatically.
Step 5: Save and Review the New Assembly
- Save the Assembly
- Confirm all details are correct and save the new assembly.
- Verify in Library
- Return to the Assemblies tab to view the newly created assembly.
- Ensure it has all the right parameters and parts as configured.
Step 6: Utilize the New Assembly in Projects
- Implement in Design
- Integrate the newly created assembly into your project designs as needed.
- Ensure it functions as expected within the project's context.
