This guide provides detailed instructions on how to manually place, copy, and modify counters in AEC Inspired for efficient project management.

2. Preparation

  • Ensure Completion of Inspired Search: Verify that all initial searches and placements have been done.
3. Accessing Counter Properties
  • Step 1: Open Properties
    • Click on any counter (e.g., A2) placed by Inspired Search.
    • Right-click and select Properties to view and edit details on the right side of the screen.
4. Modifying Multiple Counters
  • Step 2: Select and Edit Multiple Counters
    • Right-click on a counter and select Select Similar.
    • Choose to search either the current sheet or all sheets.
    • Select Properties by name field to update across multiple sheets.
    • Example: Change A2 to A3 for all selected counters.
5. Copying Counters
  • Step 3: Copy and Paste Counters
    • Drag to select multiple counters or individual ones.
    • Right-click and choose Copy.
    • Navigate to the desired location, right-click, and select Paste.
    • Ensure properties window is closed before copying.
6. Manually Placing Counters

    • Go to the Assemblies tab and select Counters.
    • Choose Default Counter and fill in the name field (e.g., A2).
    • Place counters manually by clicking on the desired locations.
